Having trouble getting your collodion to stick on glass no matter how hard you scrub and clean it? One way to one sure fire way to cure that problem is to apply a coating of albumen to the glass prior to pouring the collodion. The technique that I think we were all shown for applying it was to pour the albumen onto the plate as you would pour the collodion. That's great, but any albumen I've ever met just loved to form bubbles - and then there was chasing them down and getting them off the plate without making more of them. Here's a simple technique for applying albumen that's quick and bubble free.
