This is a very handy scale to have, and simply indispensable for anyone mixing their own chemistry. I've been using one for a number of years and absolutely love it.

I've been using one for a number of years and absolutely love it. It's small enough to slip into your shirt pocket, has a plastic cover that also doubles as a pan (which is a beautiful feature because you can actually wash it off when you're done using it!). The pan itself is stainless steel.
The controls are simple to use, with three buttons: Mode switches between grams, ounces, grains, or carats; Power; and Tare which will zero the scale after you place the empty pan on the scale. It also has an auto off feature to conserve batteries should you forget to turn it off. The display is backlit LCD with easy to read numbers. Requires 2 AAA batteries (Which are included, can you believe it?!) The quarters in the photo, however, are for size comparison only and, I'm sad to say, are not included.
Available in two weight ranges:
650 x 0.1 grams is has a lower weight resolution (but still a very practical value) but a much larger maximum weight capacity.
100 x 0.01 grams - a finer weight resolution but lower maximum weight capacity.
