Learn about wet-plate collodion photography in the beautiful setting of coastal Maine! Whether you've had some experience with wet-plate photography, or none at all, you're welcome to join me in a one-on-one tutorial where you can learn at your own pace and tailor the experience to your own requirements. The descriptions below offer an outline of the basics, but these can easily be modified to suit your own needs. My broad ranging interest in art, science, and education, allows me to offer insights into the processes that you may not find elsewhere. If you're interested in understanding the "why" behind how things work, in clear practical terms, this might be the tutorial for you. All materials and equipment are provided, just bring yourself and a desire to learn an interesting and beautiful photographic processes. | Learn the hands-on basics of wet-plate collodion photography in this two day tutorial. You will be introduced to the basic techniques required to coat and sensitize glass plates. All work will be done in the studio and darkroom, all materials and equipment are supplied. | |
